More Christmas Gifts

???????????????????????????????

Yay, I finished knitting the rest of my Parent’s Christmas gifts. These two hats were knit with US Size 9 needles and approximately 440 yards of Red Heart Super Saver yarn in the color Coffee.

???????????????????????????????

Here’s everything that I have made for them for Christmas this year. I do have a few small projects that I have to put the finishing details on, but I still have go purchase supplies before I can do so.

Here’s a list of pattern links:

  1. Balaclava  (Ski Mask)
  2. Mittens
  3. Slouchy Hat

Crochet Gingerbread Girl Hat

IMG_0503

My Daughter is obsessed with gingerbread men so I made her this cute little ginger bread girl hat. This was a really easy pattern to follow along with. I did change it a little. The icing was supposed to be a crochet chain that was stitched on and I slip stitched a pattern onto the hat. I also added blue instead of black eyes. I used a US H hook and the yarn is I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby in Brown. This was such a fun hat to crochet up

Another Christmas Gift Checked Off My List

Last year I made my parents matching Warmest Winter Scarves for Christmas.

This year I decided to add to their winter survival kits by making some matching hats and mittens. This is my Mom’s set.

Then I had some yarn left so I made her a slouchy hat . I figure if it is really cold then she could wear this hat over the top of the ski mask.

11 Little Snowmen

I would still like to make another dozen of these little snowmen but I now have enough done for my children, nieces, and nephews! I found the pattern on Pinterest a while back and just had to make them.

I used I Love This Yarn brand purchased at Hobby Lobby in the following color ways: Christmas Sparkle, Red Sparkle, White Sparkle, and Black Sparkle.

Little Elf’s

???????????????????????????????

The other day was a no-school day so my Daughter and I finished up another little craft project that my Sister had started before she passed away. I am pretty sure that these have been sitting around my Parent’s house for quite a while.

???????????????????????????????

All I had to do was hot glue the pieces that she had started together.

More Cross Stitching

???????????????????????????????

I worked on these little cross stitch Olaf monograms for Grandma & Nana. I think that they turned out super cute. I still need to figure out how I am going to finish them.

It’s Done!!!!

I am so happy that I have finished this little cross stitch banner that my Sister Brittany started before she passed away.  I did change up that pattern a bit by adding the little handmade pompom to the Santa hat. I thought that it would add some super cute detail to the project. I hope that my parents enjoy seeing it hanging in their house just as much as I enjoyed making it. I have a few more projects that Brittany had started that I am hoping to complete for Christmas 2015.

    • Start with pink yarn and sc 5 stitches into a magic loop. Pull tight and switch colors (I used gray)
    • 2sc into each original 5 sc.
    • I expanded 3 more rows by adding extra stitches every so often
    • I used a stitch marker to mark the top (tail) at the start of the next round and then I placed the legs at the bottom with room for the tail to fit in between them.
