Greetings! I usually wait until the last minute to post my year end reviews but this year I’m going to do it early because I don’t see myself finishing a project in the next few days. I ordered a new yarn storage system from Amazon last night. I plan on cleaning out every nook and cranny in my craft room over the next few days. After the craft room is purged and reorganized I plan to do the entire house. Minimize, Simplify, and Doggy Proof!

I think these end of the year posts are my favorite to write because it puts all of my accomplishments for the year into perspective. I always feel like I don’t get anything done but my spreadsheets always tell a different story. This year I completed 178 craft projects! This total includes each piece of the advent calendars as an individual project. It also counts each dishcloth and dish scrubby as individual projects. Which conflicts with my Ravelry challenge because they are posted in groups.

My 2018 Project Spreadsheet

So, according to my spreadsheet data I met my goal of completing two projects a week.

I also broke my record for the amount of yarn that I used. I used 40,899 yards of yarn and I purchased 22,633 yards of yarn. Most of that yarn was bare yarn for future use after I use all of my scraps.

Next year I plan to cut back on craft supply purchases even more as we are saving to do some home remodeling before my oldest graduates in 2022. We are hoping to redo our all of our floors upstairs, our kitchen, two bathrooms as well as replacing a door and a window. Our house was built as a speck home so they used the cheapest fixtures possible. Does anyone else have kitchen cabinets that are coated in plastic? They suck!

So in further review… let’s talk about Instagram!

Here are my top 9 posts of 2018. I’m kinda surprised that my dishcloths were so popular. I don’t understand that

And my year in color review is very earth toned.

Each circle represents one of ten significant colours we’ve extracted from each image they posted in a year.

The size of the circles indicates two things – how significant the colour was in the image, and how well liked it was by their followers. – A YEAR OF COLOR

My colorkuler.com Instagram review looks a little different 🤷🏼‍♀️

I can often be found with a pile of yarn listening to craft podcasts, music, or an audio book unless there is a NASCAR race on TV. I enjoy crafting handmade items to give as gifts to family and friends. I also enjoy donating handmade items in memory of my Father, Sister, and Grandfather.
