Handmade Gifts, Hat, Introvert Personality/ISTJ, Me Time

three more hats

Hey all! I had a busy few days and I managed to whip up these hats as gifts. The first is the Helix hat which was knit for my son with yarn that he picked from my scrap bin. I’m not sure that he planed a Halloween themed hat but that is what we ended up with. I really enjoy knitting this pattern. I managed to knit it from start to finish in one day.

So, I have finished my Christmas knitting! I have one more donation hat to knit before I ship those off too. I’m going to continue making monthly donation hats for next years donation package while I gear up for this years craft sale the weekend before Thanksgiving.

The number of humans have occupying our home has doubled this week because my in laws are in the process of moving back home from another state. They can’t close on their new house until their old house closes. Luckily they will all be at work and school most of the time so I will still have time to create while I introvert. However, I expect that time to be limited because of the extra cleaning, laundry, and cooking. So. I fear that my blogging for the month of October might be a little sparse. I hope that you all have a happy, safe and creative fall. It just might be snowing when I come back on line.

Sport Socks

Hey, all! Wow, last week was my kids first week of school and it was insanely busy even though they only went to school for three days. This week has been better! I’ve been getting up a little earlier than normal than I do on school days. I’ve been making coffee and a little something for breakfast and it seems to be giving me a little more ambition to be productive. My allergies are doing better for the time being and I often find myself working on a craft project before I even take my kids to school.

I’ve been coming home and doing a few household chores before settling in with  my knitting and a knitting podcast or two. I’ve been making healthy veggie filled lunches before finishing up with chores and some quiet time in the afternoons. It’s crazy how inhuman the introvert in me felt after being laid up in the house with my foot injury, allergies, and two noisy kids for most of the summer. The balance is good at least until harvest season starts! The crop dust and dying leaves really bothers me too.

I’m finally getting a few gifts checked off my Christmas gift list. These are for my hubby
