Works in Progress January

By the end of the year I would like to have all of my WIPS fit into one 3 x 3 photo collage. I’ve got some work to do if I’m going to make that happen. So here’s to accountability!

1) Frozen Shawl
2) Sock Arms Sweater
3) Blueberry Waffle Socks
4) Smock It Shawl
5) Easy Balaclava

Works in Progress Wednesday on Thursday

Hello All! It is the start of another month already. My November will include; a birthday, Thanksgiving, finishing up Christmas gifts, finishing up donations, finishing two more advent calendars, sending out Christmas gifts and cards, craft sale set up, and the actual craft sale! That is on top of everyday activities that already give us a full schedule.

I’m looking forward December! I’m planning on working on scrappy blankets and WIP’s. No pressure! No deadlines just being creative. Ooh I take that back my only goal is to crochet one blanket square each day of advent with yarn left over from the mini sock advent ornaments I’m making! See below

Before I start talking about my works in progress I thought that I’d review my productive October. 6 hats, 3 ear warmers, and that super cute pair of Selbu mittens

I also finished 10 dishs scrubbies

and 14 dishcloths

and 3 mug rugs

With all of that productivity you’d think that my collection of WIP’s would be smaller but that’s never the case and I’ve started another hat since making these picture collages.

Hopefully I will get around to finishing these cross stitch projects soon. Next years goal is to finish all of my WIP’s with the exception of my scrap blankets.

As always details of my knitting and crochet can be found on my Ravelry account

I hope that you are all having a wonderful week! Take care

Works in Progress Wednesday – September

Wow, the last few weeks have flown by. I have felt very unproductive. First of all the time of year and the reminders of loved ones who have passed on always creates a sort of seasonal depression for me. I get into a funk and I’m just not in the mood to do anything including creating crafts. The heat and the rag weed bother me so I have problems with allergies and breathing. Which of course doesn’t help a lot. This year I had a good four or five days with a pinched nerve in my back that was so bad I couldn’t turn my head to the left. This did not make driving or crafting very easy. I’m now following all of that up with the first sinus infection and fever of the year.

Oh well… this too shall pass

At one point in early August I had my yarn related WIPS down to the first four pictured in the collage below. Then I started a sweater for my daughter but I didn’t have the right color for the body of the sweater so I put it aside and cast on everything I could get my hands on. Oops! Sorry not sorry!

My cross stitch & embroidery projects haven’t seen any love yet… but first on my list is my Welcome all Seasons! I’m already displaying Summer but Autumn is almost here!!!

I also want to finish the NASCAR cross stitch by the time the racing season ends!
